Take advantage of an incredible collection of more than 1000 buildings and structures (over 300 new buildings), and 62 different types of maps (15 new maps) featuring realistic environments. As a virtual mayor, find the right balance between economic development of your cities, attractiveness, transportation (road traffic, bus, metro ), pollution, social services, taxes and even leisure activities.
Create a proper economic development by setting up trade between cities; you can specialize certain cities in specific areas to fill in the needs of the others. This will ensure large-scale financial success and allow you to develop an increasingly complex network of cities!

In Cities XL 2012, 62 maps including 15 new ones bring many challenges in the heart of incredibly varied and detailed scenery: fractured or rugged landscape, landlocked constructible areas or easy access to natural resources these challenging conditions and many more await all virtual city-planners!
Thanks to a high end graphic engine, Cities XL 2012 offers visuals close to photorealistic quality. Build a true modern empire, then immerse yourself at the citys core to admire each one of your constructions as if you were actually there. Cross the city limits and manage a network of cities on the entire planet! Cities XL 2012 lets you connect every city that you will build in the game. This will give you a chance to specialize some of your cities and to establish business links to share resources and services.
Cities management is complete thanks to a sophisticated transportation system. Choose the type of transportation you want, create bridges and tunnels, and manage a brand new public transportation network, including buses, and underground and elevated railways. Clever management will surely help decongest downtown traffic while lowering pollution levels and increasing the populations satisfaction.
Thanks to an ultra realistic representation of the population, citizens show various types of profiles depending on their education, their expectations and their activities. You will need to take those profiles into account to provide the right services and leisure activities for your citizens. Its also up to you to maintain a pleasant living environment and even attract new citizens.
