New Features

- GTA V จะเป็นภาคที่ฉากมีขนาดใหญ่ที่สุดในบรรดาเกม Open World ทั้งหมด ใครว่า Red Dead Redemtion ใหญ่แล้ว GTA V จะใหญ่กว่า
- ผู้เล่นสามารถสลับสับเปลี่ยนไปเล่นตัวเอกตัวไหนก็ได้ จากทั้ง 3 คน ได้ตลอด
- ระบบการขับรถใน GTA V จะสมจริงมากขึ้นราวกับเล่นเกมขับรถเลยทีเดียว
- ระบบการยิงปืน จะไม่มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงมากนัก ผสมผสานระบบเก่าและใหม่ด้วยกัน เน้นให้ผู้เล่นใช้งานง่าย
- เพิ่มระบบการต่อสู้แบบประชิดตัวมากขึ้น ตัวเอกจะมีท่าโจมตีในการต่อสู้ประชิดมากกว่าเดิม และมีประสิทธิภาพสูง
- ตัวละครแต่ละตัวจะมี Skill ความสามารถไม่เหมือนกัน

The digital version of the Game Informer article has arrived and with it comes a treasure trove of information. Already, we're blown away by facts such as Los Santos being bigger than Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto IV, and San Andreas combined. Yeah, crazy, isn't it? That's just the tip of the iceberg.

A rundown of details for Grand Theft Auto V

• Three main protagonists
• - Can switch between the three at "nearly any time" (easily done when not in a mission)
• - This allowed Rockstar to tie certain behaviors and personalities to certain characters instead of forcing you into one specific role
• - Allows for more complex story telling in "a more naturalistic way"
• - Michael (middle aged business dude), Trevor (angry, bald), Franklin
• - Switching between characters pulls you out from your current character into a "Google Earth" like view before flying down into the other character

• - 40's
• - Retired from crime after deal with the FIB
• - Hates his wife as she spends all his money (Amanda)

• More vehicles than in any other GTA title
• - Confirmed vehicles include: BMX bike, mountain bikes, road bikes, dirt bikes, cars, trucks, helicopters, planes, ATVs, jet skis

• Los Santos combines the dense urban environments like in GTA4 with the wide open wilderness like from Red Dead Redemption
• Los Santos includes interior and exterior spaces
• Los Santos is larger than the worlds of Red Dead Redemption, San Andreas, and Grand Theft Auto IV combined
• - Includes beachfronts, wine country, large wilderness area including Mt. Chiliad, Salton Sea region, military base, suburban hills, urban area of Los Santos itself
• - Scuba diving
• - Full explorable "ocean floor" along the coastline
• Attempts to capture the diversity of L.A. instead of focusing on a specific element (like San Andreas did with gang wars)
• A lot of small details include water pooling at the end of hoses, pedestrians having day to day lives, worn out foot paths in stores, unique textures for various brands within the stores

• More off-mission activities than what there was in GTA4
• - Michael's family, Franklin's "crazy friends", or Trevor with early game access to planes
• - "You can go from being in as heavy a shootout as you've ever seen in a GTA game to doing yoga within a matter of missions."
• - Each character has unique hobbies
• - Weight loss and gain are not in GTA5
• - You can customize your characters with different clothing options
• - Specifics are sparse, but there will be some "funny new stuff that's pretty odd to do in a game."
• - Yoga, triathalons, jet skiing, base jumping, tennis, golf
• - Full golf course
• - Say goodbye to romance and those annoying phone calls from love interests like in GTA4
• - Each character has their own group of friends

• Some returning faces from previous games will make an appearance
• - Just don't expect to see the main characters showing up

• No property to purchase but there will be "loads of other stuff" to spend your money on at the end of the game

• Cell phone returns but takes a back seat for activities
• - Many activities are simply shown on the map now, instead of having to dig through the phone like in GTA4
• - Phone can access the Internet

• Random encounters with pedestrians returns from GTA4
• - Far more interaction with various pedestrians than in previous games

• Dynamic missions
• - Help a hitchhiker
• - Investigate a scene with a sea of dead bodies around two parked cars
• - Steal a cash van for quick money
• - Catch a mugger

• Multiplayer will be revealed later
• Some story segments find you repelling down the side of a building (ala Rainbow Six Vegas)

• Connected story includes several heists, think back to the Three Leaf Clover mission from GTA4
• - High action story elements with different tones depending on which character you're in control of
• - Transitions during story elements happen instantly when prompted
• - You do not have to transition, it's up to the player

• No major celebrities for the major roles
• Rockstar feels that this is their strongest narrative yet with how the three character stories are intertwined
