ประท้วง...ความวุ่นวาย...ความรุนแรง ?

เก็บตกภาพการประท้วงต่อต้านมาตรการรัดเข็มขัดในอิตาลีเกิดความวุ่นวาย

เหตุรุนแรงครั้งนี้เกิดขึ้นท่ามกลางการชุมนุมใหญ่ที่มีสหภาพแรงงาน CGIL เป็นแกนนำ โดยสหภาพแห่งนี้เรียกร้องให้มีการเดินขบวนและผละงานประท้วงตามเมืองต่างๆในหลายสิบเมืองทั่วประเทศ ขณะที่แรงงานในชาติอื่นๆของยุโรป ก็พร้อมใจออกมาชุมนุมแสดงพลังต่อต้านมาตรการรัดเข็มขัดในหลายประเทศ

ในกรุงโรม การชุมนุมส่วนใหญ่ผ่านพ้นไปอย่างสันติ เว้นแต่มีเหตุพวกนักเรียนกลุ่มเล็กๆ ที่ขว้างปาก้อนหินและพยายามฝ่าแนวกั้นของตำรวจเพื่อเข้าไปยังสำนักงานของนายกรัฐมนตรีมอนติ ย่านกลางเมือง

ที่มาดริด ตำรวจปราบจลาจล ต้องยิงกระสุนยางขึ้นฟ้าและใช้ตะบองทุบตีผู้ประท้วงที่ก่อเหตุวุ่นวาย ณ จตุรัสพลาซา เดอ ซิเบเลส โดยผู้สื่อข่าวเอเอฟพีรายงานว่าเหตุปะทะปะทุขึ้นเมื่อตำรวจตั้งวงล้อมสกัดผู้ชุมนุมไปรวมกลุ่มกันที่จตุรัส หลังจากก่อนหน้านี้ไม่นาน ตำรวจใช้ตะบองผลักดันกลุ่มผู้ประท้วงวัยรุ่นหลายร้อยคนที่พยายามขัดขวางเจ้าหน้าที่ปิดกั้นถนนกรันเวีย ที่อยู่ใกล้เคียง

ในโปรตุเกส เหตุผละงานประท้วงส่งผลให้การบริการรถไฟฟ้าของกรุงลิสบอนมีอันต้องหยุดชะงักชั่วขณะหนึ่ง ขณะที่เรือข้ามฟากแม่น้ำเทกัสและการเดินรถไฟทั่วประเทศ แม้จะเปิดให้บริการแต่ก็เป็นไปอย่างจำกัด

ที่กรีซ เหล่าสหภาพแรงงานพุ่งเป้าไปที่วิกฤตภายในประเทศมากกว่า และการประท้วงก็จำกัดวงแคบๆ โดยมีแค่การผละงานเป็นเวลา 3 ชั่วโมงและมีการเดินขบวนในกรุงเอเธนส์เท่านั้น
