ค่ายสแควร์เอนิกส์เปิดโหลดโปรแกรมเบนช์มาร์ค (Benchmark) สำหรับการประเมินแรงเครื่องพีซีก่อนติดตั้งเกม "ไฟนอลแฟนตาซี 14 ออนไลน์" ต้อนรับการเปิดทดสอบเบต้าเฟสแรกที่จะเริ่มเร็วๆนี้

โปรแกรมทดสอบนี้จะเน้นการแสดงฉากสถานที่ต่างๆ ตัวละครจำนวนมากและเอฟเฟกต์แสงสีในการต่อสู้ รองรับภาพสูงสุดที่ระดับ Full HD 1920x1080 มาพร้อมเสียงเซอร์ราวน์ 5.1ch รองรับหลายภาษาทั้งญี่ปุ่น อังกฤษ เยอรมันและฝรั่งเศส โดยจะวัดแรงเครื่องออกมาเป็นตัวเลขคะแนนไว้เทียบระดับตามตารางบนหน้าเว็บ

ตัวไฟล์ทดสอบจะมีขนาดที่ 469MB และเมื่อแกะซิปออกมาทั้งหมดจะอยู่ที่ประมาณ 500MB สามารถเปิดใช้ได้ทันทีโดยไม่ต้องติดตั้ง มีความต้องการขั้นต่ำคือวินโดว์ XP Vista หรือ 7 โปรแกรม DirectX 9.0c ขึ้นไปและหน้าจอความละเอียดมากกว่า 1024x720 โดยยังไม่รองรับเทคโนโลยี SLI และ CrossFire แต่จะปรับปรุงร่วมกับผู้ผลิตการ์ดจอสำหรับเวอร์ชันขายจริง

เมื่อเปิดขึ้นมา ผู้ใช้จะสามารถตั้งค่าระดับกราฟิก ความละเอียดหน้าจอ หรือตั้งให้โปรแกรมทำงานวนซ้ำไปเรื่อยๆได้ จากนั้นก็จะฉายฉากต่อสู้ในสถานที่ต่างๆทั้งดันเจียน แผนที่ใหญ่ แคมป์จุดรวมพล คิดเป็นคะแนนสุดท้ายออกมาให้นำไปเผยแพร่บนทวิตเตอร์หรือเก็บไว้เป็นไฟล์ txt

สำหรับระดับคะแนนที่ทางค่ายแนะนำขั้นปานกลางจะอยู่ที่ 2,000 แต้ม ซึ่งถ้าต่ำกว่านั้นจะเริ่มมีอาการกระตุกหน่วงเป็นพักๆหรือถ้าต่ำกว่า 1,000 คือเล่นไม่ได้แน่นอน ส่วนแต้มสูงสุดจะอยู่ที่ 7,000 ขึ้นไปสามารถเปิดทุกอย่างจัดเต็มได้ตามใจชอบ

Edit: ถ้าเล่นแบบ Maximum จะอยู่ 2300+ ซึ้งก็คือพอเล่นได้ แต่ถ้าเป็น High ก็ลื่นเลย Medium นี่ก็ถือว่าภาพสวยใช้ได้ สรุปถ้าเล่นฟรีผมเล่นแน่นอน :yes
