About the Game:

Forge Quest is a dungeon crawling rpg set in a voxel world. Explore the land full of chickens on a light hearted quest to become a hero. Delve deep into the randomly generated dungeons to battle monsters, find treasure and craft your equipment. Invite your friends to join your world and help you in your adventure. Long after great wars ravaged the land of Shmoop, a balance has been reached as both sides agreed to regulate all hero and villain related activities. This system flourishes as it creates the economic stability the land needed, and from it the great bureaucracy rose to rule over the land. After many years from the system's inception, you step onto the scene. A strapping young adventurer who, after being dropped off by your parents, set off to obtain your Hero license from the kingdom. Although eager to claim your title, your path is full of danger as you must first prove yourself in the dungeons below. You also soon learn that not everyone plays by the rules and what it means to become a hero is much more then just a signed paper.

Bug Fixes
• Game would crash when using "Withering Touch" and "Needle Vines" or "Flame Turret" together.
• Chicken chests now cleanup properly, and will not spawn chickens even when chest is gone
• Incorrect enemy levels in the primal boss fight
• Issue that would cause an empty zone on teleport.
• A particular crash that would happen on teleporting.
• Runes now have appropriate values (modified a few)

• Experimental: Added random factor for picking up items, this should allow for items to not all be picked up at once

• Right/Left now changes the sorting tabs
• Actually added stats to items so they are filtered properly

UPDATE v1.4b:
Bug Fixes;
• Output file now working on the mac side
• Fixed bug that prevented adding starting storyline items to new characters.
• Weapon fast fire toggle trick/bug no longer works.
• Fixed throwing projectiles, aka the primal boss. They previously weren't moving.
• Fixed healing ability, as it was healing too much.
• Generation of primal dungeons should no longer cause sections to be unreachable. (Had a small chance of happening)
• When attempting to forge a new item, if your inventory is full it will tell you.
• Fixed portal scroll gets you out of underworld (until you next login/die)
• When you Disassemble a stack of items only a single one is consumed rather than the entire stack.
• Increase quality will only improve an item so much
• Increase quality now should always add one magical property to all items if they can be approved. There had been an issue with order of xml loading.
• Many bugs with rune definitions have been fixed.
• Critical Bow now has a maximum modifier of +50% crit chance (at high levels)
Player;
• Quick slots increased from 4 to 8. This is an experimental change, which might get changed depending on the results/feedback. We were fearful that this might over power ability, which we don't want classes to only use... however since most classes are mana limited, it should work out alight. Warrior classes should get a buff from this, as they are not mana limited, however from everything we have seen warrior classes were weak overall and needed a buff.
• Potion key removed, now you can just put potions into your quick bar instead. This counts for all consumables. The quantity shown in the quick bar is not the specific consumable, but all of that type you have in your inventory. If you reach zero of that item, it doesn't get removed from the quickbar, so you don't have to re-equip it once you get more.
• Increased player starting gold to 200
• Player starts with 5 health potions. Automatically equipped to first equip slot.
Monsters Modifications;
• This is something we have wanted to add for a long time. This is just the initial implementation, and will likely change in ongoing updates.
• Added a new monster modification system. As you adventure, you will encounter special enchanted monsters that have random modifications to them. Some of these are extra attacks, extra health, immunity to certain damage types, ect...
• Magical monsters will show as a golden version of themselves. The mods they have are displayed in the hud when you hit them.
• Mods current implemented are as follows.
• Noxious - Emits a poison cloud every so often
• Acid Throwing - Projects a acid ball at you.
• Teleporting - Periodicity will teleport to a new location.
• Physical Immune - Immune to physical damage
• Magic Immune - Immune to magic damage
• Regenerating - Regenerates it's health over a period of time
• Extra Health - Has x2 times maximum health

## Release 1.56##
With a few extra tweaks we finally decided to release the beta features branch that we have been working on to the main branch. Below are the most major ones of note.

Endless Dungeon
A new gametype "Endless" is now available to all characters. This mode allows you to endlessly travel the dungeons, without any story or overworld to get in your way. Each level is random from the dungeon types in the game, and every 5 levels you will fight a random boss.

Monster Difficulty
When in game, you are able to choose a monster difficulty modifier from the options menu. This modifier affects the damage monsters both give and receive. A great tool for players who want a little more or less difficulty to the game.

Character Balancing
A large number of items and abilities have been modified to bring balance to some of the builds available. You are still able to make quite powerful characters, but some strategies will take a bit more work then previously needed.

Monster Balancing
A number of monsters have been modified to fit the game better. Some of these being minor tweaks, but also more advanced features like combat circles, they make melee combat with a large number of melee monsters more engaging.
