Namco Bandai ได้กำลังทดลองทำธุรกิจที่แตกต่างจากเดิม โดยพยามยามทำเกมแบบ free to play games อาทิ Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation , Tekken Revolution และตอนนี้ได้ส่ง episodic games คือ Super Robot Taisen Operation Extend ลงบนเครื่อง PSP

เนื้อเรื่องแบ่งออกเป็น 8 chapters

Super Robot Taisen Operation Extend ประกอบไปด้วย mecha from Macross Frontier, Keroro, Zoids, and a bunch of Gundam games นอกเหนือจากความแตกต่างทางด้านธุรกิจ ก็ถือว่าเป็นภาคของ Super Robot Taisen ที่น่าเล่นมากเลยทีเดียว

ทั้งนี้ก็มีการบอกไว้ว่าในภาคนี้จะเป็นการรุมยำซีรีย์หุ่นยนต์ต่างๆ เอาไว้กว่า 50 เรื่อง! และบางส่วนที่ประกาศออกมาแล้วก็ตามนี้เลย
