In order to stand a chance you'll have to become stronger. You will need to equip yourself with armor and weapons. Your knife and trusty shotgun you in your journey. As you progress you will also need to upgrade your gear and abilities to survive against the forces of the wasteland. Upgrades for max are divided into two pools, Armor Upgrades and Survival skills. Armor upgrades cover everything form you knuckles to the shirt on your back, to the belt around your waist.

Survival Skill are abilities such as increasing Max's total health to the amount of loot acquired when scavenging and Max's effectiveness when using weapons are featured.
Depending on what upgrades you choose will shape how you play the game.
