In Hero’s Song, you use the familiar click-to-move and attack controls of classic action RPGs to navigate the battlefield, and outwit, overpower, and overcome your enemies.

True to its hardcore nature, combat in Hero’s Song is dangerous and has very real consequences, including the chance of permanent death.

IMPORTANT: If you created a world or character during Alpha 3 or Early Access, and that world or character remains affected by an issue listed as resolved below, you may need to create a new world or character for the respective changes to take effect.
General
General pathfinding fixes and optimizations, including pathfinding support for islands
General world and encounter generation fixes and optimizations
Fixed several issues where the game would freeze on loading screens (Note: We are continuing to investigate other similar issues.)
Fixed an issue where the game would freeze on a loading screen after exiting to character selection and joining another world
Fixed an issue where the game would crash when trying to spawn an invalid creature
Fixed an issue where time of day was not synchronizing with the server properly
Multiplayer
Fixed an issue where the selected server on the world selection menu could become linked to a different server in the same list
Adventure and Exploration
Fixed an issue where towns would be repopulated regardless of existing population
Fixed an issue where invisible collision would appear near shorelines
Fixed an issue where the incorrect debris type was assigned to wood fences in snow and desert biomes
Balance
Increased the spawn rates of Easy and Moderate difficulty encounters
Reduced the spawn rates of Negligible difficulty encounters
Reduced the frequency of Bat encounters
Decreased the health of the Small Bat

Alchemist
Bomb
Added a new ability, Bomb, which allows the Alchemist to place up to 3 bombs that will explode on contact or after 30 seconds
Bomb now deals 100/130/160/190/220% weapon damage as fire and hits up to 3 nearby targets when each bomb explodes
Beastmaster
Quick Shot
Quick Shot now mapped to Right Mouse slot by default
Illusionist
Aneurysm
Fixed a minor text issue
Mind Control
Increased duration to 10/15/25/40/60 seconds
Paladin
Holy Weapon
Decreased damage to 115/125/150/175/200% weapon damage
Lay On Hands
Fixed an issue where Lay On Hands could not be cast on self
Shield Bash
Fixed an issue where Shield Bash would not stun enemies (note: enemies may become stuck in the Stunned animation)
Ranger
Frozen Arrow
Frozen Arrow now consumes arrows when used
Combat
Fixed an issue where summoned creatures would attack the summoner
Fixed an issue where an ability could be disabled when its animation was interrupted by another ability that caused an animation to be played (e.g., Wizard’s Magic Bolt)
Crafting and Loot
Added crates around the world, primarily towns, dungeons, and caverns, that can be looted for coins, food, potions, ore, and gems
Added recipe for Empty Vial (used by the Alchemist)
Added recipe for Throwing Daggers
Added Pouch of Silica Sand, a component for the Empty Vial recipe
Increased the number of arrows produced by recipe for arrows
Fixed several issues where some food items were hazardous to your health, such as Chicken Sandwich and Haggis
Fixed several issues where some recipes did not have the correct product icon
Creatures
Added sound effects for the Gargoyle
Updated sound effects for the Wolf
Fixed an issue where the Cave Spider’s bite attack could cause incurable bleeding
Fixed an issue where the Dire Wolf was hostile toward campfires and other static creatures
Fixed an issue where the Wasp was not hated by default
Art, Graphics, and Lighting
Optimized water to run on lower-end GPUs and IGPs at higher frame rates
Optimized campfires to use less particles and render faster
Added more variation to ground floor cover in various biomes
Improved the visual appearance of water ripples and splashes
Fixed an issue where water noise generation was inconsistent across platforms
Fixed an issue where the Goblin net was not lit correctly in the dark
User Interface
Added location window that provides world coordinates of the player character
Fixed an issue where the first world under My Worlds could not be selected after selecting a different entry on the world selection menu
