รูปแบบการเล่น ตัวเกมเป็นแอ็คชันมุมมองบุคคลที่ 3 ที่ปรับเปลี่ยนมุมกล้องได้ โดยมีความลื่นไหลรวดเร็วในการเล่นมาก สิ่งที่เป็นจุดเด่นตามชื่อเกมก็คือ เน้นไปที่การใช้ “Force” มาก
โดยการใช้ Force ที่มีทั้ง ผลัก , ยก และ ปล่อยสายฟ้า,ปาดาบ หรือสร้างบาเรีย โดยถ้าเราเรียนรู้การใช้พลังจนชำนาญแล้ว เกมนี้จะง่ายขึ้นกว่าการเดินไปฟัน และที่บอกว่าภาคนี่บ้าพลังมาก
เพราะเกมนี้เน้นการใช้ Force ที่เกินจริงกว่าในภาพยนตร์มาก เพราะยกของได้ตั้งแต่ หินก้อนเล็กๆ จนไปถึงพังยานสตาร์เดททรอยออร์ ก็ยังทำได้ โดยการใช้ Force ปาสิ่งของสร้างอยู่บน
ระบบฟิสิกส์ที่สมจริง สำหรับเวอร์ชันวีนั้น รูปแบบการเล่นหลักๆจะไม่ต่างกันนัก แต่การที่เราได้ใช้วีโมตแทนดาบเลเซอร์ และใช้นันชักเพื่อปล่อยพลัง Force นั้นสร้างอารมณ์ร่วมได้ดีขึ้นพอ
จะทดแทนภาพที่ด้อยกว่าได้
