WavePad Sound Editor คือโปรแกรมแก้ไขไฟล์เสียง หรือ โปรแกรมแต่งเสียง ซึ่งที่กล่าวมานี้มันก็คือ สามารถเป็น โปรแกรมแต่งเพลง ได้เนียนๆ นั่นเอง คุณสามารถที่จะตัดต่อเสียง (Cut Copy Paste) ได้ง่ายๆ หรือจะเพิ่มลูกเล่นเสียง เอฟเฟค (Sound Effect) ต่างๆ หรือจะตัดเสียงรบกวน (Noise) ทำเสียงให้เงียบ ตัดหัวตัดท้ายของไฟล์เสียงในส่วนที่ไม่ต้องการออกไป ปรับเสียงความดังค่อยให้มีระดับที่เท่ากัน (Normalize) ทำเสียงก้องกังวาล (Echo) เข้าไปได้อย่างง่ายๆ เนียนๆ มันสามารถแก้ไขได้ทั้งไฟล์เสียงชื่อดังได้หลากหลายตระกูล อาทิ WAV MP3 OGG FLAC และอื่นๆ อีกมากมาย
