สำหรับเกมส์ God Eater 2: Rage Burst ได้เพิ่มเนื้อเรื่องเกมส์เข้ามาใหม่ โดยเพิ่มภารกิจหลักที่มีความยาก 6 ระดับ
นอกจากนี้ยังเพิ่มกลไกเกมส์เข้ามาใหม่ที่ชื่อว่า Blood Rage ซึ่งเกี่ยวข้องกับการเพิ่มเกจ Awakening จากการต่อสู้กับศัตรู
และมีการเพิ่ม Buff หลากประเภทเข้ามา ทั้งนี้ ยังเพิ่มตัวละครใหม่ๆ, ศัตรูประเภทใหม่ๆ และอาวุธหลากประเภท
