ตัวเกม Remothered: Tormented Fathers จะให้ผู้เล่นได้สัมผัสกับบรรยากาศเกมสยองขวัญผสมผสานกับสไตล์ภาพยนตร์ ที่จะทำให้ผู้เล่นรู้สึกเสียวสันหลังในการเล่นตลอดเวลา ผู้เล่นจะได้สวมบทบาทเป็น Rosemary Reed หญิงสาววัย 35 ปี ที่จำเป็นต้องมุ่งเข้าไปในบ้านของทนายความคนหนึ่งที่ชื่อว่า Dr.Felton ซึ่งป่วยเป็นโรคประหลาดแบบไม่ทราบสาเหตุและได้หายสาบสูญไป ซึ่งหลังจากที่เธอได้เปิดเผยถึงสาเหตุที่แท้จริงในการเข้ามาในบ้านหลังนี้แล้ว ความสยองขวัญแบบที่ไม่เคยพบเห็นมาก่อน ก็ได้บังเกิดขึ้นทันที

ผู้เล่นจะได้ทำการสำรวจบ้านหลังนี้ เพื่อหาสาเหตุการหายตัวไปของ Dr.Felton ขณะเดียวกัน จะต้องหาเบาะแสและความลับต่างๆของครอบครัวนี้ด้วย ตัวเกมจะมีระบบการเล่าเรื่องแบบภาพยนตร์สยองขวัญหักมุมที่ผสมผสานไปด้วยความสยองขวัญและเรื่องราวที่ดราม่าจับใจ ผ่านการเล่นที่ต้องอาศัยหลักจิตวิทยาในการเข้าช่วย โดยเธอจะต้องสืบหาความจริงของบ้านหลังนี้ให้ได้ก่อนที่อะไรบางอย่างจะสายเกินไป
