Objects in Space is an 2D stealth action space trading game. It takes place in the open world of Apollo, a huge star cluster a dozen light-years away from Earth. You're a ship's captain, you buy and sell goods to keep your tin can going, and you're always one step ahead of pirates, organized crime gangs, corrupt governments, and shady lawmakers.
An entire galaxy of characters awaits you in Objects in Space. The game focuses on a myriad of short stories rather than the plot of a hero. So it's up to you how extensive the narrative content is in it.
In the battles of Objects in Space, the ships are more like Cold War submarines than fighter planes from World War II. You'll be on the crawl, planning your actions well ahead and participating in deadly cat-and-mouse games with nebulous opponents, but only if you want to. Conflict-shy players watch the news, avoid pirate-infested systems, and avoid exploring untargeted sections of the room where these highwaymen bustle.
You have to make sure that your ship's systems run as quietly as possible and completely shut them down in an emergency, just to drive at your current speed on your trajectory towards your destination. You're hoping no one will catch you on his scanners, because you're on the most dangerous transport routes in space.
For making money, you have over fifty clients available. Your reputation with them determines how many contracts you can conclude with them in relation to the transport of passengers and freight or hunting for wanted persons. But be forewarned: If you do not successfully complete an accepted assignment, your reputation with the respective client will decrease. And what do you do if you receive an emergency call from a ship near you, but need to make an appointment?
