Band of Defenders is a modern KOOP-FPS in which up to four players protect an object from tons of barbarians and mutants. These monsters rule a world slowly recovering from an atomic apocalypse. Players build, repair, and upgrade barricades and towers, craft weapons, and try to survive the opposing waves.
Every game consists of a few opposing waves. Players have some time to build up their defense after each wave. The last wave is led by one of the bosses. These are extremely dangerous characters that will test your defense and skills.
We mainly wanted to create a fun shooter that has everything the players expect and want. Many different weapons, smooth animations and a good feeling when shooting the bad guys. Since Band of Defenders is all about collaboration, you can play the game alone, but also with your friends and strangers. It is all up to you to decide how you want to experience the game. The world of Band of Defenders is also very brutal, so you should not have a problem with a little bloodshed.
Do you like survival games where you have to build your defense and survive attacks from brutal enemies? We love these games, but games like 7 Days to Die just take way too long to be really fun. Band of Defenders works on a similar principle, but we focus on shorter solo bouts (like 20 to 30 minutes). You start with all the usual equipment, fortify your position and destroy increasingly strong enemy waves. In the end, you must finally defeat a boss.
You build various barricades and automatic turrets, craft weapons, set minefields to protect important places, and prepare yourself for the worst - and that's exactly what will happen.
After each fight, you gain experience points, and as you level up, you receive boxes of useful equipment: a new weapon, a new upgrade for your towers, new barricades, an advantage that will give you a better weapon at the beginning of every game ... The higher your level, the more equipment you get and the better your equipment will be. This increases your chances of survival, especially at higher levels of difficulty.

However, the world is still a very hostile place. The Blood Cult unites mutants and barbarian bandits into a horde that kills, plunders, and suppresses any attempt to rebuild human civilization.
That means a lot of work for you and your friendly mercenaries, but you are very proud of your work to protect the remnants of a once decent human society (decent enough to destroy the world with nuclear missiles ...). Only you can protect the rich and the poor from the dangers of this new deadly world.
