THE KAPAKU
The Kapaku need volcanic terrain like others to breathe: their units receive fortifying bonuses as long as they are on volcanic tiles, and settlements in volcanic areas receive production benefits. These benefits are also the linchpin of the Kapaku game tactics - use them to deploy large armies with high-quality equipment, or to quickly obtain the technologies needed for achievements and deeds. Since the Kapaku are dependent on this type of terrain, they have the ability of volcanic formation, with which they can permanently convert any terrain into volcanic tilings. Even as strangers, the Kapaku on Auriga always have a home advantage!
The small, ingenious Kapaku rely on their powerful golems for the rough work. They come from a volcanic world that was destroyed by the killing machines and can exploit the new terrain better than any other faction. However, they need large amounts of strategic resources to fully exploit their capabilities. They have unique knowledge of the Dust eclipses that the Infinites taught them.
DUST-eclipses
When the sky darkens and the air is filled with dust, dormant powers are awakening in the inhabitants of Auriga, giving each faction new abilities or improving its already existing qualities to unimaginable strength. These Dust flares are also responsible for the appearance of short-lived "Dust inflows" throughout the map that give a temporary bonus to the army they first reach - but also create new weather patterns and old, disturbing apparitions from Auriga's long-forgotten past bring to light!
NEW: VOLCANIC TERRAIN
Lava is inhospitable, but what it does not provide for food makes up for it through industry, science or dust. It is a heavy starting point for most people, but if used properly, it can turn average cities into powerful production centers. These new wild areas also have the new volcanic anomalies that make it even more appealing to explore these barren landscapes.
In addition to the new tiles and the "Volcanic" type of terrain, these areas also have active volcanoes that spit rivers of burning hot lava! Although the resulting lava flows provide no food, they increase the industrial yield on the tiles.
