พอภาคแรกแบบรีเมคเป็นภาพ Hi-Def ออกวางขายไม่เมื่อวันที่ 20 พฤศจิกายน ทาง Croteam ก็ประกาศทำ Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter หรือภาค 2 แบบภาพคมชัดระดับ Hi-Def ตามออกมาทันที แทนที่จะไปนั่งทำ Serious Sam III ให้มันเสร็จๆ กลับมานั่งทำภาคเก่ามาขายใหม่อยู่นั่นแหละ ไม่ทราบว่าคุณพี่ Croteam เค้าคิดอะไรอยู่กันแน่นะ Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter จะให้ความมันส์ผสมผสานความเครียดกับกองทัพศัตรูที่แห่ออกมาจำนวนมากในแบบ ฉบับของต้นตำรับ แต่เพิ่มสเกลภาพความละเอียดสูง ทำให้คมชัดมากขึ้นในระดับ 720P นอกจากนี้ยังมีการเพิ่มโหมด Co-Op Tournament mode ให้ผู้เล่นได้สนุกกันหลายๆคนเพื่อเพิ่มความมันส์ขึ้นอีกเป็นเท่าตัว คะแนนใน Gamespot ภาคนี้อยู่ในเกณฑ์ค่อนข้างดีทีเดียว และดีกว่าฉบับ HD ภาคแรกพอสมควร
