One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows เป็นเกมแนว Fighting ที่ตัวเกมจะอ้างอิงเนื้อเรื่อง เหตุการณ์ และตัวละครทั้งหมดมาจากอนิเมะ One Punch Man ซีซั่น 1 ทั้งหมด โดยในตัวเกมผู้เล่นจะได้บังคับเหล่าตัวละครจากในอนิเมะ โดยเป้าหมายคือทำการพิชิตภารกิจในสมาคมฮีโร่และไต่ระดับของเราให้กลายเป็นฮีโร่ระดับ S-Class ให้ได้
นอกจากนี้ในระหว่างการต่อสู้จะมีวายร้ายอย่าง King ออกมาปรากฏตัวทำให้ตัวละครทุกตัว (ยกเว้นไซตามะ) ที่กำลังต่อสู้อยู่ขยับไม่ได้ชั่วคราว ยิ่งไปกว่านั้นตัวเกมยังมีเสียงพากย์ทั้งภาษาญี่ปุ่นและภาษาอังกฤษมาให้อีกด้วย
