eFootball PES 2020 ในภาคนี้จะมาพร้อมกับสิ่งใหม่ๆ มากมาย และเป็นภาคที่จะปฏิวัติตัวเกมให้ก้าวขึ้นไปอีกหนึ่งก้าว โดยตัวเกมจะมาพร้อมกับโหมด Master League รูปแบบใหม่ที่สมบูรณ์มากขึ้นกว่าเดิม ด้วยระบบ Interactive Dialogue ระบบพูดคุยกับนักแตะ ซึ่งมีบุคลิก และเอกลักษณ์ที่แตกต่างกันได้แบบเฉพาะ และแยกเป็นคน มีการแก้ไขอัลกอริธึมตลาดนักแตะที่ดี และสมเหตุสมผลมากขึ้นกว่าเดิม สามารถปรับแต่ง โลโก้สปอนเซอร์ โมเดลผู้จัดการทีม หรือจะใช้โมเดลผู้จัดการในตำนานอย่าง Zico, Cruyff และ Maradona ก็ได้
เพิ่มเทคนิคการเล่นใหม่ๆ เข้ามามากมาย ทั้ง Finesse Dribble การเคลื่อนไหวแบบต่างๆ ของ Ronaldinho และเป็นครั้งแรกที่ตัวเกมจะให้เราใช้เทคนิคการควบคุมผ่านทางอก หรือหลังได้อย่างน่าสนใจ นอกจากนี้ยังมีโหมดการเล่นใหม่เพิ่มเข้ามาอย่าง Matchday มีการปรับแก้ไขส่วนอื่นๆ ให้สมจริงมากขึ้น ไม่ว่าจะฟิสิกส์ของลูกบอล การป้องกันของผู้รักษาประตู ระบบปฏิสัมพันธ์ของผู้เล่นที่เปลี่ยนแปลงได้ และอื่นๆ อีกมากมาย
