Liberated เป็นเกมถูกพัฒนาโดย Atomic Wolf ทีมพัฒนาเล็กๆจากโปแลนด์ ซึ่งเกมนี้จะการนำเสนอเรื่องราวของเมืองในยุคที่อำนาจนิยมเป็นใหญ่ ถูกปกครองอย่างกดขี่ ปราบผู้คนที่เห็นต่างด้วยความรุนแรงเต็มรูปแบบ เทคโนโลยีหลายอย่างถูกดัดแปลงมาใช้ในการสอดส่องพฤติกรรมของประชาชน และในที่สุดก็ได้มีกลุ่มคนสวมหน้ากากที่ได้ตัดสินใจออกมาประกาศตัวว่าจะต่อต้านและทำลายการปกครองนี้ให้หายไป
Gameplay ของเกมจะมาในรูปแบบเกมแอคชั่น 2.5D ที่ผู้เล่นเคลื่อนไหวในแบบ 2D ในสภาพแวดล้อมแบบ 3D โดยจะนำเสนอในรูปแบบสไตล์ช่องในหนังสือการ์ตูนขาวดำ ที่สอดแทรก Quick Time Event เข้าไปด้วยรวมไปถึงเสียงเอฟเฟคที่แสดงถึงความเป็นหนังสือคอมิกส์ได้เป็นอย่างดี
