ระบบเกมเพลย์ยังคงความเป็นแนว Action Shooting ในมุมมอง 3 มิติชนิดโหดเลือดสาดอันเป็นหนึ่งในจุดขายนั้นของเกมซีรีส์นี้โดยเฉพาะ เพียงแต่สิ่งที่ปรับปรุงมาก็คือลูกเล่นการต่อสู้ที่ดูหลากหลายขึ้น รวมถึงระบบเข้าที่กำบังของเกมที่ถูกพัฒนาให้ดีกว่าเดิม ยิ่งกว่านั้นเพื่อนๆ สามารถสำรวจเส้นทางหลายเส้นทางได้อย่างอิสระอีกด้วย แถมยกระดับกราฟิกให้สวยงามไปอีกระดับ ถึงขั้นรองรับความคมชัดแบบ 4K/60FPS เลยทีเดียว
