Mad Max เกมจากภาพยนตร์ภาคใหม่ของซีรี่ย์ Mad Max โดยทีม Avalanche Studios (ทีมสร้างเกม Just Cause) เป็นผู้พัฒนา ที่ถือว่าเป็นทีมหนึ่งที่ทำเกมแนว Open World ออกมาได้ดี แน่นอนว่า Mad Max ก็จะทำเป็นเกมแนว Open World เช่นกัน โดยใช้ฉากโลกยุคล่มสลายอันกว้างขวางไปด้วยทะเลทราย เนื้อเรื่องของเกม Mad Max ก็จะคล้ายกับหนัง Mad Max:Fury Road คือ แม็กซ์ ร็อกคาแทนสกี้ จะต้องเดินทางเอาตัวรอดเพียงลำพังในทะเลทราย หลังจากที่เขาสูญเสียทุกอย่างไป ทั้งครอบครัว ทั้งรถ และสภาพจิตใจ แต่ก็ดันไปพัวพันกับกลุ่มผู้คนอพยพที่กำลังหลบหนีดินแดนข้าม Wasteland ใน War Rig ทำให้ผู้เล่นต้องรับบทเป็น แม๊กซ์ ในการต่อสู้เอาตัวรอดจากกลุ่มผู้ทรงอิทธิพล และยังต้องช่วยเหลือกลุ่มผู้อพยพไปด้วย เนื่องจากฉากของเกม Mad Max เป็นทะเลทราย Wasteland ที่กว้างใหญ่ ระบบการเดินทางด้วยรถยนต์ จึงเป็นสิ่งจำเป็น ในเกมคุณสามารถแต่งและโมดิฟายรถได้หลากหลายมาก ทั้งแต่งเครื่องยนต์ แต่งอาวุธ สำหรับใช้ต่อสู้กับศัตรู และติดตั้งเกราะได้อีกด้วย
