คอนเซ็ปต์ของตัวเกมยังคงใช้รูปแบบแนวยิงแหลกบู๊แหลกกระจายชนิดที่ว่าสามารถใช้ทักษะสกิลเพื่อต่อกรกับศัตรูได้ง่ายขึ้นกว่าเดิม อาทิเช่น Telekinesis พลังจิตเคลื่อนย้ายวัตถุจากระยะไกล, Time Manipulation ควบคุมเวลาให้เคลื่อนที่ช้าลงแบบ Slow Motion หรือการใช้เสื้อคลุมล่องหนในการจู่โจมศัตรูอย่างไม่ทันตั้งตัว เป็นต้น พร้อมกับอาวุธหลายประเภทที่สลับเปลี่ยนไปใช้ตามความเหมาะสม ปิดท้ายด้วยการไขปริศนาประปรายเพื่อหาทางไปต่อ โดยพื้นที่แต่ละแห่งค่อนข้างเปิดกว้างและสำรวจได้อย่างอิสระเสรี
