Necromunda เป็นโลกที่เต็มไปด้วยความแปลกประหลาด อยู่ในช่วงสหัสวรรษที่ 41 เมื่อ Imperium ได้สร้างรถถัง, ปืน, เครื่องจักรขนาดใหญ่ยักษ์ และออกทำสงครามกับสิ่งมีชีวิตอื่น ๆ มากมาย โลกเต็มไปด้วยมลพิษมากมาย หลายชีวิตหนีทะยานขึ้นสู่ดวงดาวใหม่ ๆ ระบบปกครองที่เข้มงวดแบ่งชนชั้นใน Necromunda ออกเป็นวรรณะ คนรวยอยู่ข้างบน คนจนอยู่ข้างล่าง นี่คือจุดเริ่มต้นของ Necromunda: Underhive เมื่อปี 2017 และ Hired Gun คือจุดเริ่มต้นของเรื่องราว
Necromunda เป็นเกมสงครามบนโต๊ะ (Tabletop Miniatures Game) เปิดตัวครั้งแรกในปี 1995 โดย Games Workshop โลกของ Necromunda จะเต็มไปด้วยความรุนแรงระหว่างแก๊งชนชั้นต่าง ๆ เป็นการต่อสู้โดยใช้โมเดล 6 ตัวละคร สู้กันบนโต๊ะที่เต็มไปด้วยการต่อสู้อันดุเดือด
พอปี 2017 ทาง Games Workshop ได้ทำการออกใหม่ ปรับปรุงตัวเกมใหม่ ทำโมเดลใหม่ ในชื่อ Necromunda: Underhive นอกจากมีเกมสงครามบนโต๊ะ Necromunda ออกวิดีโอเกมมาแล้ว 2 เกมด้วยกัน Necromunda: Underhive Wars กับ Necromunda: Gang Skirmish
Necromunda: Hired Gun จะมาในแนวบุคคลมุมมองที่ 1 จะให้ผู้เล่นได้สำรวจโลกของ Necromunda บทบาทผู้เล่นจะเป็นเหมือนทหารรับจ้าง ตัวละครสามารถอัปเกรด และปรับแต่งตัวละครกับอาวุธได้มากมาย จุดเด่นคือการวิ่งบนกำแพง เน้นตัวเกมที่รวดเร็ว ดุดัน
