Assassins Creed Odyssey นี้จะเป็นภาคที่ไม่ได้เชื่อมต่อจากภาค Origins แต่อย่างใด แต่จะยังคงมีกลิ่นอายการเล่นที่คล้ายคลึงกันเช่น ระบบการเก็บเลเวล เก็บ EXP รวมไปถึงหาอาวุธ ชุดเกราะเพื่ออัปเกรดตัวละครไปเรื่อย ๆ รวมไปถึงสกิลต่าง ๆ ที่มีให้เลือกใช้มากมาย และจุดเด่นที่สำคัญที่สุดของภาคนี้คือตัวละครหลักที่เราสามารถเลือกได้ว่าจะเป็น Alexios และ Kassandra รวมไปถึงระบบการเลือก Choice ที่จะส่งผลไปถึงการดำเนินเนื้อเรื่องภายในเกม และอาจจะส่งผลจนถึงฉากจบเลยทีเดียว !!
