Grand Theft Auto V หรือ GTA 5 จะมีทำโหมดการเล่นมุมมองแบบ First person shooter เพิ่มเข้ามาในแพรตฟอร์ม PC, PS4 และ Xbox one โหมดการเล่นมุมมอง FPS ของ GTA V ไม่ใช่แค่เปลี่ยนเป็นมุมมองนี้แค่ตอนยิงปืนเท่านั้น แต่ตอนเดิน ทำภารกิจ ปล้นธนาคาร ขี่มอเตอร์ไซค์ ขับรถ ขับเครื่องบิน ฯลฯ ทุกอย่างเป็น FPS หมด คุณจะได้รู้สึกเหมือนเล่นเกมยิง FPS ในฉากที่กว้างใหญ่มากๆ ยิ่งกว่า Battlefield เสียอีก สำหรับตัวเกมจะถูกปรับปรุงมากมายในหลายส่วน โดย Rockstar สัญญาว่าใน Version ปรับปรุงนี้ เราจะได้เห็น อาวุธใหม่ ยานพาหนะชนิดใหม่ มีกิจกรรมใหม่ๆให้ได้เล่น มีสัตว์ป่าสายพันธุ์ใหม่ และสุดท้ายตัวเกมจะถูกเพิ่มเพลงใหม่ๆเข้าไปในเกมมากกว่า 100 เพลงเลยทีเดียว
