Batman: Arkham Knight จะพาผู้เล่นไปยังเมือง Gotham ซึ่งมีพื้นที่กว้างกว่าเมือง Arkham ซึ่งการขับเคลื่อนยานพาหนะก็เป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการเดินทางทำภารกิจและต่อสู้พวกวายร้าย อีกทั้งยังต้องปรามพวกวายร้ายตัวฉกาจอย่าง Scarecrow, Penguin, Two-Face, Harley Quinn เป็นต้น นอกจากนี้ ฉากในเกมส์ มีความกว้างขว้างมากขึ้น มีภารกิจย่อยให้ทำมากมาย อันเป็นจุดประสงค์ล้มเหล่าวายร้ายให้ราบคาบ

จุดเด่นของเกมส์ภาคล่าสุด มีระบบ Fear Takedown สามารถล้มศัตรูได้พร้อมกันสูงสุด 3 คนในเวลาที่ลอบซุ่มจัดการ อีกทั้งมีรถ Batmobile เพื่อใช้เดินทางไปยังสถานที่ต่างๆ สามารถเรียกทุกแห่งหน แถมสามารถอัพเกรดรถยนต์ รวมถึงอาวุธอันทันสมัยเพื่อใช้รับมือศัตรู
