Description:

About NoVR Modification
The easiest to use and most flexible no VR mod for Half-Life Alyx! This mod allows you to play Half-Life Alyx without VR, not needing specialized drivers or anything like that. Allowing for it to be played anyway and anywhere you like! Just copy and paste the folders wherever you have Half-Life Alyx installed via Steam and that is it!

Left Click: Select in Main Menu/Throw Held Object/Primary Attack
W, A, S, D: Move
Space: Jump
Ctrl: Crouch
Shift: Sprint
E: Interact/Pick Up Object
F: Flashlight (if you have it)
H: Cover your mouth
F5: Quick Save
F9: Quick Load
M: Main Menu
P: Pause
Right Mouse Button: Secondary Weapon Upgrade
Middle Mouse Button: Tertiary Weapon Upgrade

NoVR Update #6 (Commit 71e83ff April 13, 2023) can be installed to make the game work and campaign to be completed on flat screens. You can skip installing this mode to play in VR
If you decide to delete the mod later (in example, for installing new mod version) run "Remove NoVR Mod.bat" in the game root
100% Lossless & MD5 Perfect: all files are identical to originals after installation
NOTHING ripped, NOTHING re-encoded
Significantly smaller archive size (compressed from 68.3 to 38.4 GB)
Installation takes from 15 minutes (16-threads CPU SSD) up to 1 hour 15 minutes (4-threads CPU HDD)
After-install integrity check so you could make sure that everything installed properly
