Dark Void เกมแนวยิงต่อสู้ในมุมมองบุคคลที่ 3 เนื้อเรื่องแบบนิยายวิทยาศาสตร์ ตัวเกมจะผสมผสานระหว่างการสู้รบด้วยปืนโดยการเดินเท้ า ให้เข้ากับการต่อสู้สลับเข้าหาที่กำบังในแนวดิ่ง (Vertical Combat) โดยมีการใช้ Jet Pack ซึ่งถือเป็นจุดเด่น ติดตั้งอยู่ด้านหลังของตัวเอก ช่วยในการเคลื่อนที่ไปมาในสนามรบอย่างคล่องตัว (เหมือน Boba Fett จาก Star wars) เกมเน้นผู้เล่นเดี่ยว มีบอสขนาดใหญ่รอท้าทาย สามารถอัพเกรดชุด ทำการขโมยและขึ้นขับจานบินของพวกศัตรู เกมกำลังถูกพัฒนาให้ทั้ง PS3, Xbox360 และ PC โดยสตูดิโอ Airtight เป็นหลัก ได้รับความร่วมมือในการพัฒนา และเผยแพร่จาก Capcom ค่ายเกมญี่ปุ่นยักษ์ใหญ่ ที่เคยประสบความสำเร็จในแนวยิงต่อสู้นี้อย่าง Lost Planet ด้วย ใช้ Unreal Engine ในการพัฒนา
