Saint Row นั้นเป็นเกมแนว Action มุมมองบุคคลที่สามในสไตล์ Open World ที่นำเสนอโลกของอาชญกรรมอันรุนแรงเฉกเช่นเดียวกับ GTA โดย Saint Row นั้นได้ Volition (ผู้ให้กำเนิดซีรี่ย์ Red Faction) มาเป็นผู้พัฒนาตลอดทั้งสามภาค โดยใน Saint Row ภาคนี้นั้นจะมาพร้อมกัยเอ็นจิ้นตัวใหม่ที่ถูกพัฒนาขึ้นจากภาคที่แล้วเป็นอย่างมากรวมไปถึงลูกเล่นใหม่ที่รับประกันความบ้าแบบที่คุณไม่เคยเห็นมาก่อนเลยทีเดียว
และในงาน Comic-Con วันสุดท้ายที่ผ่านมา ทีมงานของเกม Saint's Row: The Third ได้มาโชว์เกมเพลย์การเล่นกับทีมงานของ Gamespot
