ไฟนอลแฟนตาซี เป็นเกมชุดของเกมอาร์พีจี ที่ได้รับความนิยมอย่างสูง สร้างขึ้นโดย
สแควร์ (ปัจจุบันคือบริษัท สแควร์เอนิกซ์) โดยเกมชุดไฟนอลแฟนตาซีนี้มีในในเครื่องเล่น
หลายชนิด ได้แก่ เครื่องเกมคอนโซล เครื่องเกมเคลื่อนที่ เกมออนไลน์ เกมบนโทรศัพท์
มือถือ และยังมีทำเป็น ภาพยนตร์การ์ตูน 3 เรื่อง และ ภาพยนตร์เรื่องยาว 2 เรื่อง

ไฟนอลแฟนตาซีชุดแรกออกวางจำหน่ายในประเทศญี่ปุ่นเมื่ อปี พ.ศ. 2530 และได้มีการ
แปลเป็นภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อจัดจำหน่ายในทวีปอเมริกาเหนือ เมื่อพ.ศ. 2533 [1][2] รวมทั้ง
วางขายภูมิภาคอื่นทั่วโลก เช่น ทวีปยุโรป และออสเตรเลีย เครื่องเล่นเกมที่มี ไฟนอลแฟน
ตาซี ออกจำหน่าย ได้แก่ แฟมิคอม ซูเปอร์แฟมิคอม ซูเปอร์นินเทนโด เพลย์สเตชัน วัน
