We Happy Few is the story of a brave little bunch of moderately cruel people who are trying to escape a life of happy denial in the city of Wellington Wells. In the drug-addicted retrofuturist city of an alternative England of the 1960ers, you have to mingle with the other inhabitants who are not good at talking to those people who are not quite normal rules.

Dystopian England of the 1960er
In a retrofuturistic variant of the 1960er, you will find a city devastated by the war and reconstructed by delighted happy people. Everything and everyone in Wellington Wells seems to be happy, the streets, the people and the omnipresent television personality Uncle Jack! However, it is a beautiful world on the brink of collapse. You will discover the history of this world and learn how it was so seductively happy.

Mistrust and joy
In We Happy Few it is about surviving and escaping in a process-growing world. You must learn to be invisible, even though you can all see. If you behave strangely or are not on Joy (local lucky ones), the inhabitants become suspicious and miss you a smile! With violence. You will have to practice in conformity, camouflage and struggle, if you want to survive long enough to escape.

A story for adults
The characters of We Happy Few are not typical video games. They have mistakes and are not particularly heroic, drawn from the trauma that their world has experienced. Each character has its own action line that reacts to the events of the world around it, and its own place in it. Our stories are definitely not suitable for children, but are trampled by black humor, hope, and even a spark of redemption.
