Internet Download Manager (IDM) is recommended to use along with RapidShare Premium Account. This program very easy-to-use. you can virtually configure it any way that you want to and it works with any web browser. The screenshot below show you how to setup your RapidShare Account with IDM
1. open IDM and select Download >> Options

3. Type rapidshare.com (without http or www) then input your RapidShare Log-in ID and Password
Every premium account is limited to a maximum of 150 GB download traffic per month, divided equally over every day of the month, then the user will receive 5 GB per day (150/30 = 5GB/day). The user is allowed to "save" traffic up to a maximum of 25 GB and can then spend the saved traffic all at once. but the downloads limit has been established for Premium Members at 10 gigabyte per day on the first day to become a premium member. The unused volume is automatically rolled over to the following day, up to a maximum limit of 25 gigabytes. If the complete download capacity is used up during one day, the premium-user is able to download another 5 gigabytes the following day (at 5.00 AM Thailnad Time)
for Example : 1st day downloaded 1.5 Gb (8.5 Gb remaining quota) on the second day download quota will become = 5+8.5 = 13.5 Gb
Download Managers cause additional data traffic, e.g. if you download a large file in parallel parts, as opposed to downloading the whole file at once. This results in more data traffic than corresponds to the size of the file. The more such parallel streams are initiated, the more additional traffic is generated. RapidShare accurately logs the data traffic that leaves our own network.
Downloadtraffic Management enables our users to expand the download limitation of the Premium Account. With this option Premium Accounts are enabled to download much larger volumes, by using TrafficShare and/or RapidPoints. This option can also be used to prevent unwanted usage.
The various options of the Downloadtraffic Management can be changed in the Settings from within your Premium Account. The following options can be selected: "No conversion", "Use existing TrafficShare Volume", "Use collected RapidPoints" or "Use TrafficShare first and afterwards RapidPoints".
When the download limit is reached, automatically 1.000 MB Downloadtraffic is going to be made available from your TrafficShare quota or from your RapidPoints. This presumes:
You require 150 RapidPoints for the conversion to 1.000 MB Downloadtraffic.
You require more than 5GB TrafficShare quota to convert TrafficShare into downloading volume. The creation of 1.000 MB Downloadtraffic requires 1.000 MB of your TrafficShare quota.
Manual conversions of RapidPoints or TrafficShare into other magnitudes is not possible.
If you select the option "No conversion", your downloads will be aborted when reaching the TrafficLimits. This averts the TrafficShare or RapidPoints usage.
Additionally you can protect your TrafficShare and your RapidPoints for unauthorized access, by using the Security Lock.
Each time a Free Users downloads your files, you gain points. You get a Free-RapidPoint for each download, provided that the file is bigger than 5 megabyte and the user has not generated more than 3 RapidPoints in the last hour. Your files have to be stored in the Collector's Zone or the Premium Zone so that we can assign the download to your account.
In combination with Premium-RapidPoints, Free-RapidPoints can be exchanged for a Premium Account, or to extend your Premium membership. For this, you can go to the menu option "Redeem RapidPoints" in the Free Zone or Premium Zone.
You gain Premium-RapidPoints when Premium users download your files. The traffic volume generated by all files bigger than 5 MB will be added (except those you marked as TrafficShare downloads), and you will get one Premium-RapidPoint for each 100 MB. Your files have to be stored in the Collector's Zone or the Premium Zone so that we can assign the download to your account.
Additionally you can gain Premium-RapidPoints whenever someone purchases a new Premium Account using your Referrer Link or one of your file download links.
Premium-RapidPoints are required for some of our rewards and for creating free Premium Accounts. You can also convert your Premium-RapidPoints into Free-RapidPoints in the Premium or Collector's Zone. Please note that Free-RapidPoints can not be converted to Premium-RapidPoints.
