TrafficShare is an allocated download quota that can be flexibly applied:
For one; to offer files for direct download: The receiver can instantly save the file, without being a RapidShare Premium member. The cost for the accumulated data-traffic is covered be the owner of the file.
On the other hand, you can use TrafficShare to stock up your own download volume. When you download a file and have exhausted your download quota, you have the possibility to allow our system to automatically convert TrafficShare to Download Traffic in your account setting. For this a balance of more than 5 GB needs to be booked to your TrafficShare Account.
The balance does not expire, given that you have a Premium Account with RapidShare, providing that your Premium Account does not expire and is not further extended within 14 days. In this case any existing TrafficShare balance would be erased.
As the volume can be extended at any time, you don?t need to estimate in advance, how many users are going to request your file. If the demand is higher than expected, you can extend your traffic volume within a few minutes only. By this you are also protected for unnecessary costs.
You don't enter a contract period. You can activate the TrafficShare function for each file, as desired. Once the traffic volume is consumed, you can stock up again. The quota does not expire, as long as your Premium Account does not expire and is not further extended within 14 days. In this case any existing TrafficShare balance would be erased. 7 days before the Premium Account expiration, and 1 day thereafter, you receive a reminder email from us, giving you sufficient time to extend your Account.
To use TrafficShare volume for a download through the own Premium Account, for technical reasons the TrafficShare balance needs to be more than 5 GB. For direct downloads, meaning the direct offering of your files, no minimum balance is required. For this alternative even the last 5 GB are automatically used.
