สำหรับตัวเกมส์ในภาค Kaizoku Musou (Pirate Warriors) เป็นผลงานการสร้างของค่าย Tecmo Koei ต้นฉบับผู้ผลิตเกมส์แนวมุโซวอย่างเกมส์ Dynasty Warriors(สามก๊ก) ที่เกิดไอเดียใหม่ที่จะจับตัวละครจากการ์ตูนชื่อดังมาต่อสู้กับในสนามรบแบบ3ก๊ก โดยมีเนื้อเรื่องในต้นฉบับให้ติดตามแบบหลวมๆ แต่เน้นความมันสไตล์อัดแหลกแบบบ้าระห่ำ ที่ประสบความสำเร็จจนตัวเกมส์ออกต่อเนื่องมาเป็นภาคที่ 3 แล้ว
