Rogue Legacy: เป็นเกมส์แนว ACTION/RPG คล้ายๆ กับเกมส์ Castlevania ในเครื่องเกมส์ Console โดยตัวเกมส์ Rogue Legacy นั้นมีการออกแบบในลักษณะของแพล็ตฟอร์ม 2D Side-Scrolling ที่ไม่ต้องมีการควบคุมอะไรที่ยุ่งยากซับซ้อน เพียงแต่สิ่่งที่จำเป็นก็มีแค่การใช้ทักษะการหลบหลก และการกะจังหวะที่ถูกต้องในการผ่านไปยังฉากต่างๆ ซึ่งในเกมส์นั้นเราจะได้รับบทเป็นอัศวินที่ต้องเข้าไปปราบปีศาจในปราสาทให้ทั่ว แต่จุดเด่นที่ทำให้เกมส์นี้ มีความแตกต่างจากเกมทั่วไป ก็คือตัวปราสาทที่เราจะต้องพาตัวละครของเราเข้าไปผจญภัยนั่นเอง ทุกครั้งที่เราเข้าไปยังปราสาทนั้นพื้นที่ต่างๆ จะถูกสุ่มขึ้นมาใหม่ทั้งหมด จึงทำให้ความยากของเกมส์อยู่ที่ตรงพื้นที่ต่างๆที่ถูกสุ่มขึ้นมาทุกๆ รอบเมื่อเข้าไปยังปราสาทนี่แหละ ถ้าเป็นในเกมอื่นๆ เราอาจจะใช้เทคนิคในการจดจำตำแหน่งและการเคลื่อนไหวต่างๆ เพื่อระวังไม่ให้ผิดพลาดในจุดซ้ำๆ แต่ใน Rogue Legacy นั้นนำเสนอในสิ่งใหม่ที่ท้ายทายด้วยการที่เราไม่อาจจะคาดเคาได้ว่ามันจะเกิดอะไรขึ้น บางครั้งเราอาจจะเข้าไปตายภายในไม่ถึง 1 นาที บางทีอาจจะอยู่รอดไปจนถึงบอสตัวแรกได้ แต่พอด่านต่อไปเราอาจไม่ผ่านห้องแรก เพราะโดนกับดักและลูกกระจ็อกอัดซะน่วมก่อน (เครดิตข้อมูล: otacom.net )

Rogue Legacy is a genealogical rogue-"LITE" where anyone can be a hero. Each time you die, your child will succeed you. Every child is unique. One child might be colorblind, another might have vertigo-- they could even be a dwarf. That's OK, because no one is perfect, and you don't have to be perfect to win this game. But you do have to be pretty darn good because this game is HARD. Fortunately, every time you die all the gold you've collected can be used to upgrade you manor, giving your next child a step up in life and another chance at vanquishing evil.
