AGAREST GENERATIONS OF WAR 2: นับเป็นเกมภาคที่สามแล้วสำหรับเกมซี่รี่ย์นี้ โดยในเนื้อเรื่องจะเป็นภาคสองที่มีเนื้อหาต่อเนื่องจากภาคแรก เพราะในภาคซีโร่นั้น เนื้อเรื่องจะย้อนอดีตถึงจุดกำเนิดก่อนเกิดสงครามในภาคแรกนั่นเอง ...ตัวเกมยังคงรูปแบบเป็นแนว TBS (Turn-Base Strategy) / RPG ที่วางแผนการต่อสู้แบบแบ่งเทิร์นโจมตีและมีรูปแบบสนามแบบตารางสี่เหลี่ยมคล้ายกับเกม Final Fantasy Tactics หรือเกม Tactic Ogre โดยระบบเกมเพลย์ของภาคนี้จะแตกต่างจากสองภาคแรกพอสมควร (ถ้าใครเคยเล่นสองภาคก่อนหน้านี้แล้วมาเล่นภาคนี้จะเข้าใจดี) อย่างแรกคือสนามจะแบ่งฝ่ายชัดเจน ไม่สามารถเคลื่อนที่ไปได้ทั่วสนามเหมือนภาคเก่าแล้ว ทำให้ภาคนี้จึงต้องตัดเทิร์น Move Phase การเคลื่อนที่ทิ้ง เพราะไม่จำเป็นต้องย้ายตัวละครนั่นเอง อย่างที่สองคือระบบการคอมโบโจมตีที่เราไม่สามารถนั่งดูเฉยๆ ได้อีกแล้ว เพราะเราจะต้องกดปุ่มบนคีย์บอร์ดร่วมด้วย เพราะต้องทำคอมโบ และเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของการใช้ท่าอัลติเมทคอมโบ (ระบบสู้ถูกเปลี่ยนไปเหมือนกับเกม Cross Edge ครับ) ส่วนระบบอื่นที่แตกต่างจากภาคเก่าก็ เช่น สมาชิกในปาร์ตี้จะมีระดับความสัมพันธ์, ,มี stats ใหม่ได้ คือ Dex (Dexterity มาแทนที่ Luck ไป) กับ Mnd (Mind ซึ่งมีผลเพิ่มค่า Resistance), โมเดลตัวละครจะเป็นภาพรายละเอียดระดับ HD (ที่สวยกว่าภาคเก่าเยอะ), เป็นภาคแรกในซีรี่ย์ Agarest ที่ผู้เล่นสามารถเดินทางข้ามทั่วทั้ง 5 ทวีปได้ใน Generation แรก เป็นต้น ส่วนระบบที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ของเกมนี้คือ "ระบบการสืบทอดสายเลือด" ก็ยังอยู่ โดยภาคนี้แบ่งออกเป็น 3 ยุคเหมือนภาคแรก โดยในยุคแรกจะต้องเลือกนางเอกของยุคนั้น 1 ใน 3 มาแต่งงาน ลูกที่ได้จะเป็นตัวเอกของยุคต่อไป และจะมีความสามารถแตกต่างกันตามนางเอกที่เลือกด้วย ภาคนี้เราสามารถเลือกคู่ครองคนไหนก็ได้ โดยไม่เกี่ยวข้องกับค่าความสัมพันธ์แล้ว ส่วนค่า stats จะถูกส่งต่อไปยังรุ่นลูกโดยขึ้นอยู่กับแม่แต่ละคนเช่นเดิมครับ ส่วนในยุคสุดท้ายเราจะเลือกนางเอกเพื่อดูฉากจบ ...สรุปแล้วท่านที่ชอบเกมแนว Turn-Base ก็ไม่ควรพลาดเกมนี้ด้วยประการทั้งปวงครับ [เครดิตข้อมูลบางส่วนจาก gconhub.com ]
